“ | Jigsaw was a short man with brown hair, large blue eyes. I gave a render to the officer that found me after I was released from that hellhole, Whitehurst. | ” |

Zep Hindle is a fictional character from the Saw franchise. He is one of the unseen characters in the series.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Zep Hindle was an orderly who worked at a hospital. Unlike some doctors, he genuinely cared about the patients and listened to them if they needed someone to talk to. Despite his compassion, Zep suffered from an inferiority complex due to his seemingly unimportant position at the hospital. Due to this social insecurity, he was eventually targeted by John Kramer, better known as the Jigsaw Killer. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)
Abduction[]
John injected him with a slow-acting poison and forced him to abduct Dr. Lawrence Gordon's wife and daughter, Alison and Diana Gordon, whom Zep had to kill if Gordon failed his test. Meanwhile, Gordon was forced to play another game and had to kill a young man named Adam. If he followed John's instructions, Zep would eventually be given the antidote. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)
Test[]
At night, Zep invaded Dr. Gordon's apartment and took Alison and Diana hostage. Unbeknownst to him, he was observed by David Tapp, a discharged homicide detective, who had rented a run-down apartment across the street to keep an eye on Gordon, whom he believed to be the Jigsaw Killer. After witnessing how Zep held Gordon's family at gunpoint, Tapp stormed into the apartment and opened fire on Zep, while Alison grabbed the chance to free her daughter and escaped with her.
When the attacker fled, Tapp pursued him to an abandoned industrial building. He followed him into the building and outran Zep in an underground tunnel network. The men engaged in another fight, during which the former detective quickly gained the upper hand by brutally battering Zep. However, during their scuffle, Tapp was shot in the chest, collapsed, and eventually passed out, allowing Zep to escape. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)
Aftermath[]
While wandering through the hallways, John found Tapp unconscious but still alive. He took him to the abandoned Whitehurst Insane Asylum, where he prepared a game for him. Following his survival and escape from Whitehurst, Tapp described Zep to the authorities, unaware that John Kramer was the actual killer. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)
