Biography[]
The Pederson Project[]
The Pederson Project is a program comprised of a small group performing an experimental procedure that included surgery to cure people of fatal illnesses and diseases for large sums of two separate payments. It involves a group of medical experts that take their patients into an off-the-grid, isolated area outside of U.S. jurisdiction. After the procedure is finished, the patient is then required a special medication for the next week.
Under the Pederson Project Group, Valentina serves as a nurse, often tasked with checking the patient’s vital signs, drawing blood and helping them with any post-operation medication. When Cecilia gives John a tour of the facility, she introduces him to Valentina who informs Cecilia that fellow patient Parker Sears vitals' are looking good. Valentina proceeds to check John’s vital signs, take blood samples and perform an MRI scan.

John is introduced to Valentina and Parker.
The Surgery[]
During John’s "surgery", Valentina is seen preparing and cleaning equipment. Dr. Cortez suspiciously directs Valentina to turn the monitor featuring the supposed live feed of the operation away from John’s sight. When John found out the whole operation was a scam, Valentina and all of the group become a target of John's vengeance and part of a personal game.
Life Outside The Pederson Project[]
In reality, Valentina works as a prostitute. It is clear that she and her co-scammers Mateo, Gabriela and Diego are all struggling finically as Cecilia seems to keep the majority of the money for herself and lives a lavish lifestyle in a large expensive mansion, while the others do not. It seems Cecilia and Parker picked people who were struggling finically or are vulnerable and suffer with addiction such as Gabriela.

Abduction[]
After the operation and abandoning the warehouse, Valentina continues her real profession of being a prostitute. On the night of her abduction, Valentina is engaging with an eager client at the "Hell" nightclub. They both go outside as he takes her to his car. He invites Valentina into his car to have sex, but Valentina refuses, asking for money before she has sex with him. The client says that he and Valentina didn't talk about money, Valentina scoffs and begins to walk off as she refuses to offer her services unless she gets paid. But the relenting client begins has no interest in paying her, he forces her inside his car and begins to assault her and tries to rape her. Suddenly, her attacker is knocked out as the window shatters and he is hit with a brick. Valentina is seemingly saved, as she looks around still shook-up after nearly being raped, she is grabbed from behind and abducted by Amanda.
The Cons' Game[]

Valentina along with the rest of her co-conspirators awaken to find themselves chained up and trapped, in the very same place they "healed" John. Unlike the rest of her co-conspirators, Valentina is the only one who awakens in a trap. She is seated and restrained by the neck to a metal pipe fixture resembling a cross. In front of her is a Gigli saw positioned directly in front of her neck. To her right, John later places a small box containing another Gigli saw and a belt to use as a tourniquet. As the quartet tries to understand what’s going on, Amanda enters and takes the rest of Cecilia's belongings, as she is not fully awake yet and puts them on a cart in the centre of the room out of reach of the prisoners, while she ignores all the prisoners pleas for help and questions. John enters the room where the four immediately beg for his help. John rebuts the group’s pleas by scolding the four for their unforgivable crimes, which resulted in the deaths of 34 people while they collectively pocketed $8 million dollars in profit. John and Amanda then proceed to set up Valentina’s game as the group can only helplessly look on. Valentina desperately tries to attack and give death threats to the pair as they begin to explain the rules of her game. John then shows Valentina footage of Diego in his trap, when the timer expires and the bombs detonate she cries in horror and looks away, her and Cecilia assume Diego has died but John insures them he is stable condition.
The Wire Saw Trap[]

Valentina in the trap.
Valentina is the only one of the quartet who awakens in a trap. John gives Valentina a brief history about the Gigli saw and it's usage, for when she uses it during her trap. Amanda activates the trap to drive the carriage closer to Valentina in preparation to start the trap, Valentina desperately grabs the saw to stop it but it cuts both her hands. Amanda tells her to sever her leg marked from where it is marked, much to Valentina's shock. John tells her that the saw will move closer into her neck, cutting her head off and to deactivate her trap she has to sever her leg and extract three ounces of the bone marrow from her femur and he tells her that she mustn't hesitate.
Death[]
John presents Valentina with a box, the box contains a Gigli saw and a tourniquet, the first of which Valentina has to use to cut off her leg, which has marker lines indicating where to cut, so she can amputate her leg and then has to use a suction device to suck out her bone marrow. Once enough bone marrow is collected, the trap will be deactivated. If Valentina does not complete the trap within three minutes, the saw wire will move slowly towards her neck and proceed to decapitate her.

Valentina applies the tourniquet to her leg.
With enough encouragement from Cecilia and the gang, the hesitant and hysterical Valentina applies the tourniquet to her leg and begins to painfully cut her leg; slowly and then faster. After incessant screams and motivation from the others, she manages to fully cut off her leg. After cutting her leg off, Valentina is delayed and overwhelmed by the psychological impact of what she just did, but with encouragement from Cecilia she inserts the surgical vacuum into her femur, screaming as Mateo cheers her on. Mateo notices the blood and bone marrow are being successfully transferred to the other machine, to which Valentina faintly smiles. She notices the time is almost up and panics saying "I'm not gonna make it" while her fellow prisoners watch in anticipation and horror as she is close to collecting 3 ounces of bone marrow, desperately pleading and screaming. She is just shy of 3 ounces when the timer reaches zero. As Valentina fails and is decapitated, her death seen by the other trapped victims, as well as John and Amanda, who are supervising the test. Her body falls to the ground and lands near to Cecilia.

Post-Mortem[]
After Valentina fails at her game, Cecilia's cell phone on the cart in the middle of the room rings. Cecilia finds a sharp piece of metal and drags Valentina's headless corpse to herself where she disembowels her, much to Mateo's refusal and plea not to do. So they can use her intestines as a rope to reach Cecilia's cell phone that Amanda and John left in the middle of the room.
They throw Valentina's intestines to each other to loop it around the cart, so Cecilia can pull the cart towards herself to get the phone. She answers the call and says a few words in Norwegian, before Amanda tasers her and takes the phone and the intestines from Cecilia's hands.

Valentina's corpse.
When Parker breaks into the facility, Amanda uses Valentina's head, which Parker Sears shoots three times, as a decoy to distract Parker, on a pig-masked mannequin.
While Parker is held captive by John and Amanda he calls them "monsters" for what they did to Valentina, Amanda says Valentina "died because she didn't have the will to live." Parker then says "you chopped her fucking head off" showing that he did somewhat care for Valentina.
Personality[]
At first glance, Valentina looks like a good hard-working woman willing to assist Dr. Cecilia Pederson with any methods to cure any diseases as part of The Pederson Project, but in reality, she is nothing more than a con artist and scammer. With her fellow workers and boss, Valentina tricked several people in need to pay for fake treatments, leading them to leave the program under the belief that they had been cured when in reality they hadn't.
Outside of the scam, Valentina is actually a tough and hardened prostitute. She fights back when she is assaulted and nearly raped and is the only one of the group to openly threaten to kill her captors and tries to attack Amanda multiple times.
