The production facility owned by Standard Engineering Ltd. was an industrial building with a big window facade. It was dedicated to manufacturing various goods and divided into different departments, including a toy division. The toy division of Standard Engineering
John Kramer was a toymaker who worked as a designer in the toy division of Standard Engineering Ltd. One day, he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Eventually, John chose to spend the remaining time of his life testing other people's will to live, hoping that this would convince them to value their lives and the lives of those around them. Therefore, John developed numerous potentially deadly scenarios and traps for his victims. (Saw: Rebirth)
Paul's Attempted Suicide[]
Another employee of Standard Engineering, Paul, almost died when he attempted suicide by cutting his wrists. After that incident, he was taken to a hospital. During his stay at the clinic, he was observed by John Kramer, who was furious as Paul had tried to kill himself while John was about to lose his life without having a choice. Therefore, Paul became one of John's first targets for the latter's self-imposed mission. (Saw: Rebirth)
