The Saint Andrews Hospital offered a variety of treatment methods and departments, including a cardiac center, a stroke unit, a psychiatric ward, and an oncology ward. One of its staff members was the renowned oncologist Dr. Lawrence Gordon. When Gordon was abducted by a serial killer known as Jigsaw, Dr. Michael Alan was interviewed for the Full Disclosure Report, a documentary focusing on Jigsaw's earliest crimes. According to him, Lawrence Gordon might have been one of the most successful oncologists in the entire state. He described his colleague as a diligent and dedicated worker who had probably spent more time at the hospital than at home. (Full Disclosure Report)
The Jigsaw Case[]
Ultimately, Detective Eric Matthews discovered the killer's hideout at the Wilson Steel Plant. As he accompanied his colleagues to the location, they eventually arrested the Jigsaw Killer and identified him as civil engineer John Kramer. However, Kramer had already planned for the police to find him and forced Eric to play one of his deadly games to save the life of his son, Daniel Matthews. Eric accepted the challenge but was outsmarted and taken hostage by Kramer. Meanwhile, Daniel was released by the killer and was taken to the Saint Andrews Hospital's psychiatric ward. The Scott Tibbs Documentary[]
Shortly afterward, one of the doctors was interviewed by Scott Tibbs, the psychotic leader of the rock band Wrath of the Gods, who filmed a documentary about Jigsaw. Scott eventually learned that John Kramer began testing his victims' survival instincts in deadly games after receiving a terminal cancer diagnosis. Therefore, Scott went to the hospital and asked the doctor what it took to survive the life-threatening situations that Jigsaw forced his victims to endure. Due to his strange behavior, the doctor decided to end the interview.

However, Scott learned that Daniel Matthews had been taken to the same hospital. He hid his camera inside his bag and went to the psychiatric ward's reception counter, pretending to be Daniel's cousin. When the nurse asked him to sign in, Scott ignored her and entered the station despite her protests. When he believed himself to be unwatched, he knocked on the door of room 8502 and asked Daniel if he could come in.
