The Reporter is a fictional character from the Saw franchise. She was a minor character in The Scott Tibbs Documentary.
She was portrayed by Carrie Newell.
Biography[]
The Jigsaw Case[]
The reporter talks to Amanda.
This woman was a news reporter for Channel 7 News, who reported the events surrounding the murders committed by John Kramer, better known as the Jigsaw Killer. On one occasion, she attempted to interview Amanda Young, a former heroin addict and the only known survivor of Jigsaw's deadly games. The reporter waited for Amanda near a street and immediately started questioning her when the latter came around the corner. Although Amanda went on, the reporter followed her and asked her about her near-death experience and rumors about Amanda having been convicted of illegal drug possession. When the reporter did not stop harassing her, Amanda struck her in the face and left. The reporter fell to the ground and was disoriented by the unexpected attack. The reporter was a persistent individual. When trying to interview Amanda Young, she waylaid and tenaciously followed her, displaying extremely obtrusive behavior. Upon meeting the young woman, the reporter immediately barraged her with questions and did not stop even when Amanda was visibly uncomfortable with the situation.
