If the chosen were to learn anything from me, I'd need to impart a personal touch.

The Razor Wire Maze is a trap from the Saw franchise, appearing in Saw: Rebirth.

Design and Function[]

The razor wire maze was a fenced-in area located inside a basement. The trap's victim was almost entirely naked and trapped in the back of the room, whereas the door leading out of the basement was on the other side. The fenced area was filled with countless tightened skeins of razor wire. To escape, the victim had to find a way through the wire to reach the exit door. This door was connected to a timer and would close automatically after two hours, leaving the victim to die if they did not make it out before the clock expired. (Saw: Rebirth)

History[]

John Kramer's Mission[]

The trap was designed by John Kramer, a toymaker who worked as a designer in the toy division of Standard Engineering Ltd. At one point, he went to a hospital and was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. During his stay at the clinic, he encountered numerous people, including Paul, one of John's colleagues, who attempted suicide by cutting his wrists. Eventually, John chose to spend the remaining time of his life testing other people's will to live, hoping that this would convince them to value their lives and the lives of those around them. He selected his fellow patients to become his first test subjects and observed his future victims. While preparing everything for his mission, he designed the razor wire maze to test Paul.
