Melissa Nelson, also known as Mel, is a fictional character from the Saw franchise as well as a minor character in Jigsaw. She was portrayed by Sam Koules.
Biography
Childhood
Melissa Nelson is the daughter of Dr. Logan Nelson, a pathologist working for the Metropolitan Police Department, and Christine Nelson. One day, however, her mother was killed by a criminal named Edgar Munsen. Even though her father suffers from depression due to the loss, he tries to be a good father for his daughter by spending as much time with her as he could afford, but due to his work for the police, he often finds himself unable to care for her. In these situations, Melissa often spends time with her babysitter, Judy. (Jigsaw).
Personality
Melissa is a cheerful young girl, who has a strong bond with her father, Logan. Therefore, she is enthused by pursuing her hobbies, such as baseball, together with him. However, she also suffers from the loss of her mother and the work of her father, since he often didn't have time for her.

- Sam Koules, who played Melissa, is the older daughter of Oren Koules, one of the producers of the Saw franchise.
