— John Kramer talks about his test subjects.[src]
Mark was a young man who once went to a hospital, complaining of being sick. During his stay in the clinic, he was observed by another patient named John Kramer, who had been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor recently. While watching him, the latter suspected that Mark was, in fact, perfectly healthy and merely pretended to be seriously ill.
Eventually, John chose to spend the remaining time of his life testing other people's will to live, hoping that this would convince them to value their lives and the lives of those around them. He selected his fellow patients to become his first test subjects and observed his future victims, including Mark. (Saw: Rebirth)
Not much can be said about Mark's personality due to his short screen time.
