Early Life[]

Jon Mack was born in Rochester, Michigan, and grew up on a 180-acre farm owned by her grandparents. The only child of a drama teacher and theater director, she began acting on stage at the age of five. Upon graduating high school, Mack attended the prestigious NYU Tisch School of Arts and studied theater under Lee Strasberg Institute and Experimental Theater programs. After college, she relocated to Los Angeles to continue post-graduate studies in graphic design at UCLA. At this time, she began working in feature films.

Career[]

Mack first came to national attention with her performance as Ava Gardner in the Emmy Award-winning biopic Introducing Dorothy Dandridge in 1999, starring Halle Berry. The same year, she appeared in Hefner: Unauthorized before taking a hiatus from acting. After nearly ten years, Mack appeared more frequently in various feature and television films, starting with the role of Jane, a drug addict, in Saw VI. She is primarily known for her numerous appearances in animal horror movies, such as Dinocroc vs. Supergator, Camel Spiders, and Lavalantula.

Aside from acting, Mack is also an accomplished musician, singer, songwriter, and producer. Her band, Auradrone, has released three albums independently and has performed at festivals worldwide, including Serbia's Exitfest.

Personal Life[]

Mack is also passionate about animal welfare and preserving endangered wildlife. In 2015, she created the foundation Defending the Endangered to raise awareness and aid against poaching and trophy hunting. The following year, she co-directed, produced, and starred in Auradrone's music video, Auradrone: Weapon of Choice, illustrating the devastation these practices are causing to wildlife and the planet. Defending the Endangered held its first celebrity charity event in 2017, which raised funds to support the Rhino Rescue Project and Black Mambas APU in South Africa.
