James Gilbert (born January 15, 1982) is a Canadian film, television, and stage actor.

James is best known for his role as William Brereton in the second season of the Showtime historical drama series, The Tudors. James will star in the remake of Moby Dick along with William Hurt, Ethan Hawke and Eddie Marsen. James is presently filming the suspense thriller The Corridor in Nova Scotia. He has also appeared in numerous television shows such as Flashpoint, The Border, Degrassi: The Next Generation, Trapped, and My Daughter's Secret. He has also been in films such as American Soldiers, Magic Flute Diaries, and The Cry of the Owl. He is also a founding member of Column 13 Theatre Company in Toronto, appearing in many stage productions, as well as directing one of his own. James is a graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland. He appeared in Saw VI, a sequel in the horror movie franchise.[1]

Born and raised in Nova Scotia, he now lives in Toronto, Canada and is a Boston Bruins fan. He stands at 6' tall and weighs 170 pounds. Gilbert has blonde hair and blue eyes.[2]
