The Gas Chamber Trap is a trap from the Saw franchise, appearing in Saw X.
Design and function[]
The trap takes place inside a massive observation room full of windows, chairs, and desks. There is a hole that can only fit one person to breathe out of the room. The two people then have to fight for the hole, and whoever loses will be burned to death by the poisonous gas.

The victims of this trap are Cecilia Pederson and Parker Sears. They both are scammers who trick people into thinking they're cured, when in fact they're not. One day, Cecilia was abducted and taken to the Abandoned Chemical Factory by John Kramer, and Parker later being abducted by Amanda Young after the latter breaks into the factory in an attempt to save Cecilia by posing as one of the victims of the scam. This trap was a failsafe made by John Kramer in case Parker refused to follow the rules.
After Cecilia and Parker successfully chained up Amanda, Carlos, and John, the two went into the observation room to retrieve their money only to realize that the supposed bag of money only contained Cecilia's bank statements, to which the doors to the observation rooms lock and trigger an alarm, a 10-minute timer, and a highly toxic gas. John explains on the tape how Cecilia and Parker's swindling had killed many people with their fraudulent scheme, and now the two who have working together for 8 years, must fight each other for survival, stating that only one may pass.
After the tape stops, the door to the hole for air opens up, which Cecilia takes advantage of. Parker realizing the game's objective rushes over to fight Cecilia for the only pocket of air. He manages to pull Cecilia out and begins to regain his breath, to which Cecilia pulls Parker out. He is able to grab the piece of metal in an attempt to stab Cecilia. He lunges and misses a few times before Cecilia grabs him by the head and slams it against the control panel. She is able to overpower Parker and stab him with the piece of metal. Parker eventually succumbs to his wounds and collapses as his eyes begin to dissolve from the gas. Cecilia, the sole survivor, sticks her head out of the hole to breathe in the clean air whilst shouting at John.
Trivia[]
- It is possible that the tape for this particular trap can also be used for the Bloodboarding Trap as both traps involve only one person being able to survive, and because the Bloodboarding Trap was intended for Parker and Cecilia.
- Notably though, as the constructors, John and Amanda knew a way to stop the Bloodboarding Trap before it killed one of its victims (being John and Carlos in the scenario which takes place).
- The gas used in this trap was most likely chlorine gas as it had the ability to cause chemical burns to the skin and inflict corneal burns to the eyes,
- Deleted Post-Credit Scene show Cecilia surviving.
