Scott eventually learned that Jigsaw was a civil engineer named John Kramer, who began testing his victims' survival instincts in deadly games after receiving a terminal cancer diagnosis. Therefore, Scott went to the hospital and asked the doctor what it took to survive the life-threatening situations that Jigsaw forced his victims to endure.
