Cecil Adams is a fictional character from the Saw franchise. He is one of the unseen characters in the series.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Cecil Adams was a young man who was addicted to drugs. Therefore, he became a patient at a free recovery clinic for drug addicts run by Dr. Jill Tuck. One of the other patients was Cecil's girlfriend, Amanda Young. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)

The Robbery[]

One night, Amanda suffered from severe withdrawal symptoms and convinced Cecil to rob the clinic and steal the medical drugs. They drove to the clinic and entered the building when they encountered their pregnant doctor, Jill. While Amanda hid in a corner, Cecil threatened Jill with a pair of scissors, forcing her to open the door to the drug supplies. After she obeyed his order, Cecil told her to stand back. He quickly stole the medications and then ran back. Upon doing so, he accidentally slammed a doorknob into the doctor's stomach. As she saw the blood on her skirt, she slumped down and started to cry. When he realized what he had done, Cecil quickly fled and left Amanda behind. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)

The Confession[]

Due to his crimes, Cecil was targeted by John Kramer, who was Jill's ex-husband and the father of her miscarried son, Gideon. Throughout the days following the incident at the clinic, Cecil repeatedly spotted a person with a sinister pig mask who kept observing him. Believing it to be Jill, Cecil became afraid that the latter wanted revenge on him for the death of her baby. Therefore, Cecil wrote a confession in a spiral notebook that he kept in his apartment. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)

Abduction[]

When the time came, John followed Cecil to a Chinese street festival celebrating the Year of the Pig and sedated him in the crowd without anyone noticing him. After that, John took him to a hideout and strapped him to a chair. Thereby, two blades attached to the ends of the armrests impaled Cecil's wrists. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)

Death[]

When Cecil woke up, John revealed a vicious device to his prisoner - a mechanical contraption consisting of eight sharp knives. He bolted it to the chair so the eight horizontally arranged blades were positioned right before his face. While doing so, John confronted his captive with his crimes and further explained that Cecil had to press his face into the knives to free himself from his arm and leg restraints. Otherwise, he would bleed to death. Cecil insulted him and desperately screamed for help. However, when John showed no mercy, he pressed his face into the blades while screaming in agony. In the end, the chair suddenly collapsed and allowed him to escape. He immediately approached John and tried to strike him dead with a broken chair piece. However, John evaded his attack effortlessly, which caused Cecil to fall into a cage filled with razor wire, where he ultimately bled to death. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)

Post-Mortem[]

After his death, John cut a jigsaw piece from his shoulder to symbolize Cecil's lacking survival instinct and then disposed of his corpse. Shortly afterward, Cecil was found by the Metropolitan Police Department. Upon examining his body, the detectives noticed the jigsaw piece cut from his shoulder, leading to the killer being nicknamed Jigsaw by Chief Henry Jacobs. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)
