The Reverse Bear Trap[]

The reverse bear trap was a complex mechanical contraption built with multiple metallic components. The frontal section consisted of two movable, bent metal parts that lay on each other. Each of these parts could be equipped with up to five blades. Those blades were shoved into the victim's mouth, preventing them from speaking or removing the device.
The trap's midsection consisted of an arch-shaped brace that rested on the victim's head. Therefore, their abductor could put the device onto their head like a helmet. The rear section of the trap consisted of a large metallic brace. Due to a hinge, it could be moved and laid around the back of the victim's head, where it was then secured with a padlock. A timer was attached to the trap right next to the lock.
The bear trap's three individual sections ran together on both sides of the victim's head, where the contraption's primary mechanism was located. It consisted of cables, gears, coil springs, and a hydraulic pump. Once the timer on the back expired, the two frontal elements were divaricated in a vertical direction with enough pressure to break the victim's jaws and rip their face apart. The only way to survive was to find the key to the padlock and remove it before the timer went off.
The victim tested with this trap was Amanda Young, a heroin addict.
The Razor Wire Maze[]

The razor wire maze was a fenced-in area located inside a basement. The trap's victim was almost entirely naked and trapped in the back of the room, whereas the door leading out of the basement was on the other side. The fenced area was filled with countless tightened skeins of razor wire. To escape, the victim had to find a way through the wire to reach the exit door. This door was connected to a timer and would close automatically after two hours, leaving the victim to die if they did not make it out before the clock expired.
The victim tested with this trap was Paul, a toymaker who attempted suicide by cutting his wrists.
The Flammable Jelly[]

This trap was set up in a dark room, only lightened by a small candle. The victim was completely naked and had a flammable jelly-like substance smeared on their body. Additionally, they were injected with a slow-acting poison. The antidote was locked in a safe in the middle of the room. The victim had to find the right combination among hundreds of numbers written all over the walls to open it. Due to the darkness, they had to take the candle and walk to the walls to see the numbers. As an additional obstacle, the entire floor was covered in glass shards.
The victim tested with this trap was Mark, a scam artist who preyed on sick people.
