Officer Canter is a fictional character from the Saw franchise as well as a minor character in Jigsaw.

Biography

Early Career

Canter was an officer who worked for the Metropolitan Police Department.

Edgar Munsen's Death

Canter falls asleep

Ten years after the death of John Kramer as known as jigsaw, a new game was started by Logan Nelson. The officers immediately shot the contraption. However, unnoticed by them, Logan was watching them from another rooftop nearby and shot Edgar in the chest with a sniper rifle. As Edgar collapsed, he told Halloran that the game had begun before he passed out due to his injury. Edgar Munsen, who had been put into a forced coma in order to heal properly from his injuries, is taken to the St. Peter's Hospital, where he had to be put in an artificial coma.

Halloran scolds Canter for falling asleep

Sometime later, he was briefly revisited by Halloran, who wanted to look after him after the mutilated corpse of a woman had been found before the entrance of the hospital. When he left again, Canter remained at the hospital and guarded the door to Edgar's room. When he fell asleep Logan entered the room and injected a medicament into Edgar's infusion bag, causing him to wake up. Afterwards, Logan abducted him and eventually killed him by slicing his throat. Personality

Not much can be said about Canter's personality due to his short screen time. But it can be assumed that Canter wasn't a very responsible officer, an example of this is when he fell asleep when he was supposed to be guarding Edgar.
