The Bucket Room is a location and trap that appears in Jigsaw.

Design and Function

The trap takes place in an empty room with circular saws attached to a wall. On the opposite side of the room are five victims wearing bucket-like helmets with collars attached to a chain, which pulls them towards the saws. The chains will eventually pull them into the saws, mutilating or killing them. The only way to release the buckets was to cut any part of the victim's body on the saw, no matter how small the wound. Once the "blood offering" is complete, the respective victim's bucket detaches from their collar and can be removed, and the circular saws deactivate. The wall of any surviving victims then opens up into a door, and the victims are dragged by their still-chained collars into the next trap, Chain Hangers.

History

“	I'm sure your all wondering why your here. You deny compatibility, no doubt for the circumstances in which you find yourselves. Salvation can be yours. If you cleanse yourselves of the arbitrary lies which have brought you here, lies that you have told yourselves, lies that have brutalized others, confess, the truth will set you free. But any attempt to violate my rules will kill you. I want to play a game. First an offering of blood, no matter how little will give you a green light to escape from this room with your lives. If you can release yourself from your demons, you can begin to shed the chains those demons bring with them. Should you not give the simple blood sacrifice that I have requested, you will face severe consequences. The choice is yours.	”

The original trap

The trap was the first trap in the Murderers' Trial, which occurred in an abandoned barn once owned by the Tuck family. In fact, it is one of the first traps ever created, and the Murderers' Trial is the very first game. Five people awaken in the room (except Logan, who is still knocked out). As four of the people listen to the tape, they are pulled by chains to the buzz saws on the other side of the room. Anna, realizing what the message on the tape meant, cuts herself a little on the arm and tells the others, who follow suit. The doors open and they are pulled into the next trap. After Logan wakes up, Anna tries to help him, but her efforts are seemingly in vain. However, Logan is ultimately saved by John once the others are out of the room.

Ten Years Later

Logan decided to remake the trap 10 years later, using criminals from Detective Halloran's cases in an attempt to frame him for the new Jigsaw crimes. The two women make it out, but the man is killed by the saws, which slice into his face. For this his dead body is hung above the bride at a park. Later on in the investigation, Logan and Eleanor visit the original game to find that the trap still contains the body of its original victim. Logan is captured and Eleanor runs out into the streets.
