Biography
Defending Dr. Gordon
Brett was a lawyer and a friend of the renowned oncologist Dr. Lawrence Gordon, who was also one of his clients. At one point, Gordon was taken to the police station for interrogation by Detective David Tapp and his partner, Detective Steven Sing, after his penlight had been found at the crime scene of one of the deadly games set up by the infamous Jigsaw Killer, which had resulted in the death of a man named Mark Wilson. Gordon immediately informed Brett, who arrived at the police station shortly afterwards and asked him about his alibi. After some initial hesitation, Gordon eventually revealed that he had met with his mistress and medical student, Carla, at the time of the murder. When he asked Brett what to do now, his lawyer advised him to tell the police the truth immediately as they wouldn't believe him later on. (Saw)
Personality
As a good friend of Dr. Lawrence Gordon, Brett was a loyal and trustworthy ally in difficult situations, such as the time when Gordon was suspected to be involved in the murderers of the Jigsaw Killer. Furthermore, he was a responsible and far-sighted lawyer and was therefore able to reasonably evaluate said situations, which allowed him to provide his clients with good professional advice.
