Barry is a fictional character from the Saw franchise as well as a minor antagonist of Saw II: Flesh & Blood.

Barry was a mentally unstable man who developed a pathological obsession with fire and therefore became an arsonist. One day, he killed two people by burning them alive, which only fueled his devotion to flames. He was eventually was arrested by detective David Tapp. After serving his sentence, he was released but remained obsessed with fire. Therefore, he was ultimately targeted by John Kramer, better known as the Jigsaw Killer. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)

After having been abducted by Jigsaw or one of his accomplices, Barry was taken to the abandoned Holmes Hotel. When he woke up, he was provided with several Molotov cocktails. An audio tape left by Jigsaw confronted him with his crimes and forced him to make a choice. Barry could either let go of his obsession or use the means provided for him to set the place on fire. However, he was warned that the latter would ultimately result in his death. Nonetheless, Barry barely hesitated to indulge in his obsession once more. On his way through the hotel, he killed at least one of the other prisoners by burning him alive with a Molotov cocktail, before he escaped the building and went on to an abandoned chemical plant directly opposite of the hotel. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)

He ultimately ended up on a catwalk near the plant's generator room, when Michael Tapp, the son of Detective Tapp, who made his way through the area as part of his own series of tests. Barry immediately began to throw his Molotov cocktails at him in an attempt to murder him as well. While evading his attacks, Michael noticed fire coming from a pipe. With a valve, he was able to redirect the gas, causing it to escape from another pipe above him. As Barry ignited his next Molotov cocktail, he also accidentally ignited the gas. In doing so, he caught fire and eventually died, while screaming in agony and perverted satisfaction. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)

Barry's mind was extremely unstable as he suffered from severe pyromania. Therefore, he was obsessed with fire, loving it more than anything else. His obsession didn't only turn him into a sadistic psychopath, but a sociopath as well, as he didn't feel any remorse if his actions killed someone and instead was happy about it. As his obsession worsened, he even tried to burn other people alive on purpose.
