If I hadn't been in the next building... I don't know what would've happened.

Alison Gordon is a fictional character from the Saw franchise. She is one of the unseen characters in the series.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Alison Gordon was the wife of the renowned oncologist Dr. Lawrence Gordon. While highly intelligent and successful, Lawrence was mentally unstable and even suffered a breakdown when he was 19. Nonetheless, Alison stuck by him and supported him while he underwent a year-long psychiatric therapy at the Whitehurst Insane Asylum until his mid-30s. In December 1997, Alison got pregnant with a girl. Despite Lawrence's narcissistic disorder, his mental condition stabilized, and he was looking forward to the birth of their daughter, Diana. However, their happiness did not last forever. After Lawrence ended his therapy, he developed an emotionally cold attitude toward other people, including Alison, which increasingly strained their marriage. Captivity[]

Years later, the family was targeted by a serial killer named John Kramer, better known as the Jigsaw Killer. One night, Alison and Diana were alone when a man invaded their apartment and took them hostage. This man was Zep Hindle, an orderly working at the same hospital as Lawrence. Jigsaw had injected him with a slow-acting poison and forced him to abduct Lawrence's family, whom Zep had to kill if the doctor failed his test. Meanwhile, Lawrence was forced to play another game and had to kill a young man named Adam. If he followed Jigsaw's instructions, Zep would eventually be given the antidote.

Unbeknownst to Zep, he was observed by David Tapp, a discharged homicide detective, who had rented a run-down apartment across the street to keep an eye on Lawrence, whom he believed to be the Jigsaw Killer. After witnessing how Zep held Lawrence's family at gunpoint, Tapp stormed into the apartment and opened fire on Zep, while Alison grabbed the chance to free her daughter and escaped with her.
