Adam is a fictional character from the Saw franchise. He is one of the unseen characters in the series.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Adam was a freelance photographer who made a living by observing and photographing other people for money. One of his clients was Bernie, an officer who worked for the Metropolitan Police Department. The latter suspected his wife of cheating on him. Therefore, he hired Adam to observe his spouse and find proof of her infidelity. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)
Observation of Lawrence Gordon[]
Sometime later, Adam was hired by David Tapp, one of Bernie's former colleagues. Tapp paid Adam for observing the renowned oncologist Dr. Lawrence Gordon, whom he suspected of being a wanted serial killer known as Jigsaw. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)
Test[]
Eventually, Adam was targeted by the actual killer, who was, in fact, a terminal cancer patient named John Kramer. Adam was forced to play a game during which Dr. Gordon had to kill him. Otherwise, his daughter, Diana, and his wife, Alison, would be executed. Gordon could not accomplish his task in time, but his family was saved by Tapp, who had observed their house from his apartment across the street. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)
Trivia[]
- In Saw II: Flesh & Blood, David Tapp referred to Adam as "Adam something."
- This vagueness could refer to Adam being rumored to have three different surnames - Faulkner, Radford, and Stanheight - before the filmmakers finally settled on the latter in Saw V.
