Notes[]
Actual dates appear in the Saw films, but some contradict others. According to Kevin Greutert, the director of Saw VI and Saw 3D, Jigsaw's tests span two years.
Some events can't be put in an exact order like John's suicide and his last talk to William or the tests of several victims like Joan, Alex and Sidney as well as several other events. Therefore, their placement in the timeline is based on the information given in the movies but so far there's no guarantee of the timeline being completely correct.
In Saw V, Mark Wilson is listed as being tested before Seth Baxter, yet Hoffman is seen helping with Mark’s trap.
